Tuition Fees
Each term lasts twelve weeks with a tuition of $497 ($188 savings over the monthly payments). Monthly payments of $197, which covers four weeks of classes, are also possible. Siblings can register at a 50% discount. The schedule above shows two back-to-back terms (Jan 6 - Mar 26 followed by Mar 31 - June 13).
If for any reason classes at Le French Teacher are not a fit or your situation changes, there is no commitment beyond the time already paid for. If you are uncertain about committing for three months at a time at the discounted rate, it is recommended that you opt for the monthly payments.

Tuition covers the scheduled classes over the four or twelve week period paid for, regardless of the number of classes attended by the student. If a class falls on a statutory holiday such as Victoria Day, students are encouraged to attend the Friday office hours that week. Tuition also covers access to an online portal connected to much of the material covered in class such as video of the story as well as the vocabulary taught and the associated gestures. Payments are due prior to the start of each four or twelve week period. Receipts will be issued within ten business days of payment.

Tuition Fees can be paid in any of the following ways:
-
etransfers can be sent to nick@debrey.ca
-
credit card payments are also accepted for your convenience

Missed Classes
Students who are unable to attend class for any reason (illness, travel etc.) are encouraged to attend Friday office hours that week to catch up on any missed material. Tuition covers classes for the period paid for (4 or 12 weeks), regardless of the number of classes attended by the student. Fees are non refundable. Classes at Le French Teacher are rarely cancelled. In the event that the teacher must cancel class, it will either be rescheduled or time will be added to subsequent classes to make up for time lost.

Commitment
To get the most out of lessons, students are encouraged to continue their learning at home by reviewing and practicing assigned vocabulary, watching videos and completing occasional assignments (no more than 30 minutes a week).

French language fluency develops with each class. Due to the cumulative nature of this program, missing classes should be avoided as much as possible. Naturally, the teacher will assist to help catch students up on any missed material as needed.

If for any reason classes at Le French Teacher are not a fit or your situation changes, there is no commitment beyond the time already paid for.

Required
It is essential that students are in a quiet place free from noise that will be heard by other students. Students must use a headset or earbuds with a microphone. This is due to the fact that microphones are kept open for much of the class and feedback loops are more frequent without the use of a headset with a microphone. Failure to use a headset with a microphone will result in the teacher having to mute the student's microphone which will limit their ability to participate and learn.
Students should be connected to a desktop or laptop computer with a connected video camera NOT a cellphone or tablet. This is because students regularly use their hands in doing the gestures associated with the new French vocabulary they are learning. An exception that allowing for the use of a cellphone or tablet is if the device is secured to a tripod or stand. Ideally, siblings in class would use their own individual laptop or desktop. If this is not possible, be sure that you can connect more than one headset with microphone to the computer. If not, please acquire a splitter to allow for two or more headsets to be plugged into the computer.
Finally, please ensure that students eat before or after class. Eating during class is a huge distraction and prevents the student from participating during class time.
